What's New - Miscellaneous

Direct toolpath export for Mach3

The option to send toolpaths directly to Mach3 (version 2.61 or newer) has been added in 4.6. This saves having to keep opening the toolpaths in Mach3. The Mach3 postp’s now include the Direct output option.

Automatic layer creation for PDF document import

When opening or importing PDF documents that contain multiple pages - Word processor / design documents, new layers are automatically created for each page in the file. Previously all pages were created on a single layer making it very difficult to work with these types of files.

DXF Export Improvements

When exporting DXF files the correct units (Inches / Metric) are now written into the file.

Improved Toolpath Management

  • The New Interactive Toolpath List Manager can be opened and left to float over the interface.
  • Giving quick and easy access to,
  • Make toolpaths visible / invisible
  • Re-order the list
  • Change the name without having to recalculate the complete toolpath.

Improved Interface

  • The New Layer Manager makes it much easier to work with detailed designs and projects. Each layer can be visible / invisible, drawn in different colour's, locked / unlocked.
  • New Floating Toolpath List makes working with multiple toolpath files much easier. Toolpath names can also be changed without having to recalculate the complete toolpath.
  • Text from the Estimate Machining times form can now be copy and pasted into other documents / files.
  • Measuring Tools for checking the size projects and the properties and position of objects.
